DSS Secondary School Fee Ranking

Hong Kong's Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) secondary schools ordered by annual tuition, most expensive first — switch the sort or filter by district. Fees are the Secondary 1 annual figure from the Secondary School Profiles; some schools charge differently in higher forms, so confirm with the school. Every DSS school runs a fee-remission scheme. A fee is factual data, not a quality rating.

What the data shows

Of the 56 that state a teaching medium, 30 teach mainly in English, 13 mainly in Chinese and 13 use a mix. An annual fee is published by 56 of the 57; fees run from Free to HK$96,250, with a median of about HK$25,600. Of these, 19 schools have a through-train, feeder or nominated link with another school. Of the 57, 27 have a religious background. The oldest dates back to 1818; the newest opened in 2010.

Hong Kong dropped the official EMI/CMI labels in the 2010 fine-tuning; the medium above is each school's own, not an official designation. Fees are the published annual tuition and exclude other charges.
