Curriculum & Approach
To promote the ethos of Christian whole-person education and inspire Gospel-centred learning. To create an enjoyable learning environment for children to attain a holistic and balanced development of the spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic well-being.
1. Our school-based curriculum is designed with an emphasis on the seven learning and development areas of the early years foundation stage (EYFS). 2. To promote a whole-person development through diverse learning activities. 3. To encourage children to explore and discover through activities which are life-oriented and address the development needs of our children. 4. To lay a solid foundation for our children’s learning in Chinese and English languages and mathematics, to ensure a smooth transition to primary school. 5. To promote the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of children through our school-based religious curriculum and worship. 6. Through the purposefully designed learning activities, positive values and attitudes are cultivated.
1. In the current year, we have 30 NETs and 30 NPTs to create a language-rich environment to enhance our children's ability and confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English and Putonghua. 2. Letterland Phonics and Putonghua Pinyin are taught as part of the language curriculum. 3. To enhance children's oral skills through Show and Tell, 5W1H, and the 4W sentence model. 4. Awards are set up to encourage children to listen and speak English and Putonghua often. 5. The Oxford Reading Tree has been selected as the reading series, encouraging parents to cultivate a healthy parent-child reading habit at home. 6. To enhance children’s abilities in reading and writing through extended learning activities such as ‘My Book’, ‘識字樂趣多’ and ‘My Literacy Mastery’. 7. To provide children with hands-on learning experiences, stimulate their learning motivation, and cultivate their ability for independent learning. 8. To promote mathematics and STEM education to children at early age, helping them to develop problem-solving skills and enhance self-fulfillment. 9. To organise activities such as Book Day, Camp Day, Water Fun Day, and Family Appreciation Day to enrich children's learning experiences.
