Curriculum & Approach
School vision: We nurture a caring and positive culture within families and the community. Our school conducts various parent activities to build good home-school partnership, so as to enhance children’s whole person development. School mission: Our school aspires to provide children with a safe and suitable environment for their growth through on-going observation and effective means of assessment and recording. We strive to cultivate the next generation that is brilliant and outstanding.
Implementing a balanced, integrated and spiral curriculum through diversified and inspiring games, stories, creative dances and project studies for teaching and learning. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Our child-centred curriculum adopts the activity approach, the project approach, the whole language approach, incorporating diversified, systematic and inspiring games and activities. We implement a balanced, integrated curriculum according to children’s varied levels of maturity and personalities. We emphasize children’s self-learning initiative. We continuously develop our school-based curriculum to respond to children’s different needs more systemically and comprehensively, such as to strengthening children’s gross muscles. Beside, the quality English curriculum is implemented to raise children’s interest in English and improve their reading skills through different strategies and activities.
