Curriculum & Approach
Sticking to the motto of Christ “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Aligned with the school’s mission and the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide (2017), our child-centered approach emphasizes respecting each child’s unique development. The annual curriculum: * Integrates school goals, assessments, student performance, and stakeholder feedback * Reviews and adjusts prior-year progress * Supports diverse needs through collaboration with families and the community * Fosters holistic development, including spiritual and moral growth We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
We provide a learning environment that is safe, healthy, integrated and in harmony with others to stimulate children to explore and discover. Providing an opportunity for children to observe, think and express themselves and cultivate positive learning attitude and self-confidence. Through the following teaching strategies, we help children develop a positive learning attitude and a positive outlook on life. * Enhance children's independent learning ability through school-based curriculum (picture book, drama and game teachings); * Promote positive education through diversified activities such as visits, food tasting, festivals activities, cultural inclusion activities, and serving as courtesy ambassadors; * Children learn from life, cultivate a spirit of inquiry, give full play to children's creativity and build confidence, strengthen children's independent learning ability and promote holistic development; * Promote the emerging sport – floor curling and cultivate children's sports spirit of courage to face challenges from an early age; * Through Chinese culture and art activities, children can learn about Chinese traditional culture and develop a sense of national identity. * Arrange outdoor experiential learning activities to gain knowledge, skills and establish correct values through practical experience and participation.
