Curriculum & Approach
Based on “the educational mission, ambition of developing high-quality education and encouraging active learning.” Kindergarten pay close attention on children’s development and growth needs and attach importance to teaching quality. To building up the spirit of “self-esteem, self-leaning and self-discipline” though inspiring learning environments and activities, and enjoy the fun of learning.
The school plans its curriculum based on the kindergarten curriculum Guideline and children’s developmental abilities, using a gradual and progressive approach that mores from simple to complex. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
The School employs thematic activities and project approach, integrating elements of picture book instruction and drama education. We design corresponding activities within a play-based learning model to stimulate children’s interest in learning. The school also uses environmental learning spaces to establish collaborative learning areas, arranging various learning corners that adapt to thematic changes in scenery and content. Through simulation, construction, critical thinking, and hand-on manipulation of material, children can cultivate a spirit of exploration and enhance their self-directed leaning skills. The school places great importance on the moral development of young children, providing opportunities for them to interact with various individuals and learn positive communication and community care. This approach supports the cultivation of positive character traits from an early age, aiming for holistic development.
