THE BAPTIST CONVENTION OF HONG KONG PO TIN KINDERGARTEN

In line with the school-running spirit of the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong, we aim at the ''whole-person education'' of the children. We want to empower our children to attain balanced development in moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual aspects

Children are the center, using ''Theme activity teaching'', ''Picture book teaching'', ''Group teaching'', ''Free play'', '' Nature-based learning'', ''Outdoor exploration'', ''Parent-child activities'', '' Fun English learning'' to cultivate multiple intelligences and enhance self-learning spirit. Pay attention to three languages. Cultivate civic awareness, enhance moral education and sense of responsibility We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.

We adopt an activity-based teaching approach, group-based learning approach and campus farming activities. We cultivate children’s abilities to freely explore and acquire knowledge by organizing observation, discussion and experiments; arranging children to visit organizations and to trip, and inviting institutions to the school’s parties; organize different interest activities
