This kindergarten joins the EDB's Kindergarten Education Scheme. To take up a place you'll need an EDB Registration Certificate (apply September–November) and must register during the territory-wide Unified Registration Dates in early January — when each child can secure only one place.

2026/27 entry- Application window
- 1 Jan 2025Our school starts to accept Application Form for next school year commencing from 1st January of each year. Application for admission after the school year has started can be submitted anytime. Any Application Form submitted before the school starts to accept application for admission in next school year will not be processed and considered as invalid. Parents have to re-submit the application again after the application submission period has started.

- The branch school will issue admission notices by December 12, 2025. Parents must respond by the date specified in the admission notice to indicate whether they accept the offer. The branch school will also notify in writing the parents of children who are not admitted by December 12 and ask them whether they would be willing to be placed on a waitlist.

If the number of applicants is more than the Branch can cope with, the Branch will interview at least twice the number of vacancies of the Nursery (K1) Class being recruited, or about 85% of the total number of applications received. If parents have not been contacted by the staff one month after the submission, parents please take the initiative to check with the Branch the progress of the application.

Application Form can be downloaded from the website, obtained in person from branches, or submitted via online enrollment. Online applicants must visit the school to pay the Enrollment Fee and submit documents. If parents submit applications to different Branches simultaneously, Enrollment Fee has to be paid for each. Interpretation service or accompaniment by a Chinese-speaking relative/friend can be arranged for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) children during interview.

School session can be extended from 8:00am to 6:00pm to meet the special needs of parents. Teachers will take care of students' lunch, nap and revision. Any Application Form submitted before the school starts to accept application for admission in next school year will not be processed and considered as invalid. Parents have to re-submit the application again after the application submission period has started. If parents submit applications to different Branches of Sun Island simultaneously, Enrollment Fee has to be paid for each Application Form submitted. If the application is submitted by post or through the Online Enrollment, the school will examine the information and the documents as soon as possible upon receipt of the application. The staff will telephone the parents to come to the school to complete the enrollment procedure by submitting the required documents and paying the Enrollment Fee. If parents have not been contacted by the staff one month after the submission, parents please take the initiative to check with the Branch the progress of the application. When interviewing NCS children, interpretation service could be arranged where necessary, or parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend to facilitate communication.

The curriculum aims at achieving a well balanced development in the five major developmental areas, i.e. Physical Development, Cognitive Development, Language Development, Affective & Social Development and Aesthetic & Cultural Development. Our curriculum is composed of different Learning Themes which are related to the daily life experiences of the children. Bi-literacy and tri-lingualism, mathematics, physical fitness, science, personal development, social skills and art are integrated in the learning areas of class activities. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
