Application window

Applications to our international curriculum school are open for the 2027-28 academic year! Applications will be considered in order of receipt, along with other admissions priority criteria. Early applications are encouraged. – 31 Oct 2026Parents in Hong Kong may apply for future years’ admissions at any time and will receive early application priority over later applicants interested in our private and international school curriculum. Applications will be kept on file and families will be contacted for the next steps.

Payment schedule

Tuition fees are payable over ten months of the year and are deducted monthly by direct debit. Tuition fees are billed monthly from August to May for ten months through Direct Debit Authorization (DDA) set up through the bank, with the August fee being collected in July.

HK$500,000Debenture: Child nominated by Platinum Corporate Debenture, Child nominated by Standard Plus Corporate Debenture, Child nominated by Standard Corporate Debenture, Child nominated by Individual Debenture. All previously paid fees will be forfeited, except for debenture holders, who will be treated as withdrawals and receive refunds in accordance with their signed agreements.

Age eligibility

Stamford follows an August 31st birth date cut off for the academic year. Please see the table below as a guide to match your child’s date of birth with the appropriate grade. Please note: We consider your child's last completed grade and overall development for final grade placement. For high school admissions, completed course credits will also impact final grade placement.

Stamford American School Hong Kong and Stamford American School Hong Kong (West Kowloon) give an admissions priority in the following circumstances: Debenture (Child nominated by Platinum Corporate Debenture, Child nominated by Standard Plus Corporate Debenture, Child nominated by Standard Corporate Debenture, Child nominated by Individual Debenture); Others (Siblings of existing students attending Stamford, U.S. citizens, Students with an enrollment record in other Cognita international schools, All others)

If a place is not available at the time you wish to join, your child’s name will be placed in the wait pool and you will be notified as soon as a vacancy is anticipated. Please notify the Admissions Office of any changes in contact details. All students must hold a valid Hong Kong visa prior to the start date. Once a student is confirmed and admitted to Stamford American School Hong Kong for an academic year, deferrals to a subsequent semester or academic year are not permitted; families wishing to defer must reapply and receive a new offer for the following academic year, and all previously paid fees will be forfeited, except for debenture holders, who will be treated as withdrawals and receive refunds in accordance with their signed agreements.
