Required documents

• On the application form for primary one enrollment, in the section where students should enter the name of the primary school they wish to attend under Category C, it is necessary to write “Anglican Tsing Yi Cheung On Primary School”.
• The original and photocopies of the applicant's (student's) "birth certificate" (if not born in Hong Kong, the original and photocopies of the local birth certificate and proof of residence in Hong Kong must also be submitted).
• Original copy of the parent/guardian’s ID card. If the parent/guardian entrusts someone else to submit the application form on their behalf, the entrusted person must present a photocopy of the parent/guardian’s ID card as well as a power of attorney.
• Original and photocopies of the parent/guardian’s residence address proof within the past three months (such as a stamped lease agreement, public housing lease contract, food subsidy receipt, water/electricity/gas/residential telephone bill). The name on this document must match the name of the parent/guardian. (Please note that addresses on bank letters, court summons, and tax bills may be mailing addresses rather than residential addresses; therefore, these documents are not accepted by the Education Bureau as proof of residence.)
• If the applicant has a brother/sister studying at this institution, please submit the brother/sister’s current semester handbook, academic record sheet, as well as the original and photocopies of their birth certificate.
• If the applicant or either of their parents is a member of a Christian or Catholic church, please submit the original and a copy of the “Baptism Certificate”.
• If the applicant’s father/mother/brother/sister is a graduate of this school (St. John’s Cheung Yi Primary School or the former St. John’s Cheung Yi Primary School (Morning Session)), please submit the original and photocopies of both the “graduation certificate” and the “birth certificate”.
• One A4 folder containing the student’s name and address (please attach a 10-yuan postage stamp).
• Original copy of the primary school registration certificate
• Original and photocopies of the birth certificate of Hong Kong-born freshmen in their first year of junior high school (or documents proving their right to reside in Hong Kong)
• One A4 folder containing the student’s name and address (please attach a 10-yuan postage stamp).

Selection criteria

1. My elder brother/sister is studying at this school.
2. The applicant, or his/her father/mother, is a member of a Christian or Catholic church.
3. The applicant’s father/mother/brother/sister is a graduate of this school (St. John’s Cheung Yi Primary School or the former St. John’s Cheung Yi Primary School (Morning Session)).
