Curriculum & Approach
We inspire children to enjoy the fun of learning, cultivate initiative in learning, develop good moral character, realise their potential, and grow healthy.
– Based on the “KG Edu Curriculum Guide”, we develop a comprehensive curriculum with life-oriented themes to implement six learning areas through play, picture books, and a project approach. We provide a comprehensive learning experience for children. -Provide school-based Chinese courses for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) children to learn Chinese through a progressive teaching method, helping them integrate into local school life and learn the language. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
~ Children gain knowledge and confidence through play, exploration, and discussion with peers. ~ Outdoor experiential courses to enhance children's observational skills and foster a sense of community care. Nature's Classroom offers numerous opportunities for children to connect with nature and contribute to its protection. ~ Small group teaching: picture books, Putonghua, music & movement and English phonics. We provide a comprehensive learning experience for children. ~ We emphasize children's health and physical development. There are daily physical activities and outdoor free play, which include running and stretching. ~ Weekly reading program to cultivate children's interest in reading. ~ Home-school interaction and collaboration to help children's learning in different areas. ~ Weekly learning performance rating scale to record children's learning performance in school and for parents to better understand what their children are learning and how they are doing in the week. ~Experience Chinese Culture: Experience Chinese culture through various activities.
