- Applications typically open in the autumn for the upcoming academic year.There are three rounds of applications. First round applicants have priority. Third round is rolling.

- Fee subsidy
- Almost every student who comes to a UWC does so with scholarship assistance. More than 60% of Hong Kong students receive up to full scholarships based on their family’s financial situation. As far as possible, we try to ensure that no student is prevented from attending a UWC for financial reasons.
- Other fees
- If you require scholarship, apply via this process. Over 65% of students selected through the UWC national committee system are offered financial assistance. Scholarships are granted on the basis of each individual's needs and means. No scholarships are available via this route and places are limited.
- Intake quota
- Each year, we accept about 50 new students from Hong Kong into the LPCUWC, and about 80 international students from other countries. UWC Hong Kong Committee nominates around 15 students to overseas UWC each year.

For students who are currently residing in Hong Kong, holding a Hong Kong Permanent ID Card OR dependent visa OR special visa through the Top Talent Pass (TTPS), Quality Migrant Admission (QMAS), or Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals ASMTP scheme; you should apply through the UWC Hong Kong Committee, who runs the selection process in partnership with LPCUWC. Global Selection Programme (GSP) is a route to directly apply to LPCUWC for Overseas students with no financial assistance. Only students who do not have a Hong Kong Permanent ID or Dependent Visa is eligible for this route.
