Curriculum & Approach
To develop innovative learning and teaching environments that foster teachers’ professionalism and help children reach their full potential. We deeply believe that the childhood years are the most important for growing and learning. Therefore, we must provide our children with: • A Safe and Stimulating Learning Environment • A Nurturing and Caring Atmosphere • A Wide Variety of Learning Opportunities • A Programme that Prepares Global Citizens for Tomorrow
Our school has implemented the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), which places a strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, including language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, physical, social and personal education. Furthermore, we place a strong emphasis on nurturing children to become risk-takers, inquirers, knowledgeable, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, thinkers, balanced and reflective life-long learners. We are also dedicated to empowering students to become responsible and globally aware citizens. In pursuit of this goal, we have implemented 'Maker-Centered Learning' which teaches our students to develop their critical thinking skills. In addition, our school emphasises a trilingual educational approach, which is designed to cultivate the children's Chinese, English, and Putonghua skills. Implementing a comprehensive language and literacy curriculum is a key component of our school's language programme. This curriculum aims to teach language systematically and strategically, encompassing various aspects of language comprehension, expression, reading and writing skills.
Our school aims to provide a trilingual, nurturing learning environment and a rigorous curriculum based on hands-on inquiry activities. Through inquiry-based activities, students acquire knowledge and develop their thinking, research, social, communication, and self-management skills. These activities aim to inspire critical thinking, deepen knowledge, and consolidate previous learning by encouraging the children to utilise multiple skills. Our school's commitment to one-teacher-one-language teaching allows students to benefit from an immersive language learning experience. With dedicated Chinese, English, and Putonghua teachers conducting activities in their native languages, children can develop a strong foundation in multiple languages.
