Enrollment and Graduation: The school offers a “New Student Adjustment Program” that utilizes both horizontal and vertical transition models to assist new students in adapting to their new environment. Horizontal transition refers to providing support to help new students navigate the changes in both their daily lives and academic studies at the same time; vertical transition, on the other hand, involves providing ongoing support and follow-up as new students progress through their time in primary school. The school’s support programs for graduating students include the following stages: Preparation phase (inter-departmental high school meetings, forms for high school students to document their transfer needs, internships at adult education centers, information sessions on transition processes); Transition phase before graduation (assignment of internships at adult education centers, graduation reports, first meetings with adult education center staff); Farewell phase (farewell parties organized by the dormitory department, distribution of commemorative DVDs, farewell ceremonies during school assemblies, arrangements on the day of graduation); and Post-graduation adjustment phase (follow-up visits after graduation, support for students who remain at home, participation in school activities after graduation).
