HOMANTIN BAPTIST CHURCH KINDERGARTEN

Our church established the kindergarten to spread the gospel, to cultivate children to grow in faith, to assist parents to cultivate their children with faith and to teach them according to biblical teachings. In the spirit of Christ, the kindergarten puts equal emphasis on ethical, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual education, so as to nurture children to attain balanced development in the domains of spirit, intellect, ethics and physique, to cultivate good habits, to inspire their learning interest and to lay the foundation for pre-primary education.

The school implements whole-person education through the purpose of Christian education. Based on the content of the Education Bureau's Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide (2017), the core values of the “child centeredness'' curriculum are aims to increase the learning motivation and abilities of young children. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.

The school adopts a ''child-centered'' curriculum core, utilizing thematic teaching methods and picture book design activities, along with a ''learning through play'' strategy. This approach allows young children to learn through hands-on experiences. Through a High Scope teaching method, children undergo a learning process that includes ''planning,'' ''implement'' and ''experience sharing.'' Additionally, the school implements weekly activities such as ''Fun Play Friday,'' ''Joyful Reading Activities,'' and various potential-inspiring activities. These initiatives aim to enhance children's curiosity and creative thinking, support balanced development across different areas, and cultivate their unique spirit of exploration. This environment encourages children to discover and develop their talents in a joyful atmosphere.
