Curriculum planning

PN Curriculum: Pre-Nursery students at Greenfield International Nursery (LOHAS) will be learning English, Cantonese and Putonghua through language activities such as stories, nursery rhymes, and games. The school provides different sensory activities to allow children to explore the environment and learn new elements. Our school focuses on providing a bi-literate and trilingual language environment in which our Native English, Putonghua and Cantonese teachers will stay with your child at all times. English, Putonghua and Cantonese lessons will be introduced every day. The school formulates the curriculum based on the six learning domains including gross motor, fine motor, self-care, cognitive, language, and social and emotional skills. In each curricular theme, special activities and festive activities are provided to let children learn happily. K1-K3 Curriculum: The school has always been committed to provide a quality language-learning environment with different activities to allow children to learn in a bi-literate and trilingual environment. The school has incorporated Cambridge Pre Starter A1 Exam and GPASK Putonghua Exam into the curriculum which helps to enhance children's English and Putonghua skills. To facilitate children's smooth transition from kindergarten to primary, we offer our K2 and K3 students the ''Pre Primary class'' and ''P.1 Adaptation'' class that use primary teaching material.

Learning & teaching approach

The school makes good use of our community resources to help children broaden their horizons so that they not only acquire extracurricular knowledge but also learn more about their community. Beside, family-school partnership can let children gain happy and diverse learning experiences. The school organizes or participates in various integrated activities and competitions for our students to apply themselves such as Trinity Drama Performance and Exam, interschool music and speech festivals, and the GAPSK children Putonghua proficiency test. To let children develop a sense of perseverance and discipline, we establish the school's ''Road Patrol Team''. For music appreciation, our children choir ''Greenfield's Nightingale'' and dance team ''Little Sparrow'' welcome children to join to learn singing and dancing while at the same time developing their peer-cooperation and interpersonal skills via group performances and competitions.
