Curriculum & Approach

Vision & Mission

To nurture, inspire, and educate young people of all nationalities, religions, family backgrounds, and academic abilities, fostering an inclusive environment where every student thrives. We empower our students to become active learners who practise self-regulation and embrace cultural awareness.

Curriculum planning

Our English-medium kindergarten provides a well-rounded curriculum that thoughtfully integrates structured teaching with active, hands-on learning experiences to foster the holistic development of young children. Guided by the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide (2017), our program is specifically designed to be accessible and engaging for our diverse student population, including Chinese-Speaking (CS), Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) children, and those from ethnic minority communities. Across all six key learning areas, we cultivate strong moral values through explicit guidance, stimulate intellectual curiosity with teacher-led activities and exploration, promote physical development through structured movement and active play, build positive social skills through collaborative engagements, and encourage creative expression through various mediums. Our approach blends direct instruction and guided practice with opportunities for tangible exploration, aiming to build a robust foundation of knowledge and skills while igniting a lifelong passion for inquiry and learning in each child. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.

Learning & teaching approach

Our child-centred curriculum emphasises on cultural awareness and weaves together different learning areas using storybooks and themes rooted in the children’s diverse cultures and shared experiences. This ensures their learning is both meaningful and engaging. The children learn through a wide array of activities, such as educational outings, games, project-based learning, science exploration, and imaginative English tasks. Furthermore, we have developed our own school-based Chinese curriculum, specifically tailored to meet the needs of both CS and NCS children.
