Parents will be interviewed by our Admissions Team as well, on a separate day, if necessary. Duration of the assessment varies according to applying grade: Preparatory to Grade 3: Approximately 1 hour. The admissions assessment is conducted by our Admissions Team.

Assessment timeline for Grade 2 to Grade 12: January to May 2026. If the applicant fulfills the admissions requirement but vacancy is not available, the applicant will be placed in the Wait Pool for one academic year. The assessment results are only valid for one academic year. Acceptance will not be offered until the Student Reference Form (for Secondary applicants only) is received by CAIS Admissions Office. A Chinese placement test will be arranged for applicants admitted into Grade 7 to Grade 12, prior to the first day of school. New students who are admitted into Grade 11 to Grade 12 are required to submit their official transcripts prior to their first day of school. Registration Package will be sent out from the General Office before the summer break. New Parent and Student Induction Meeting will be scheduled before the first day of school, if necessary.
